We are looking to appoint an excellent Year 5/6 Class Teacher to join our supportive team on our rapid school improvement journey.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate effective ways to raise the attainment of children in the class.
Our school motto is Challenge, Creativity, Compassion and this encompasses all that we do. We have high standards of behaviour from our pupils, and a supportive staff.
You will:
- have a good understanding of the primary curriculum
- plan learning opportunities that satisfy the demands of teaching a class
- have high expectations of the children and can plan an engaging curriculum in line with our own structures, where the most able are challenged and the less able are supported to achieve their full potential
- have excellent behaviour management strategies and believe in positive behaviour management
- use a range of assessment strategies to plan for pupils’ next steps
- be able to work well within a team
- lead subjects effectively.
