System Service Engineer

Emerson is looking for a System Service Engineer, to be a part of our service team in Denmark, Soborg!
You will provide engineering support for Emerson products and services including maintenance services, diagnostics, installation and commissioning, start-up, problem resolution, and project execution.
You will perform as a focal point for customer technical support including service contracts, projects, and technical solutions. Also, you will advise customers on preventative maintenance and configuration adjustments to improve product performance and customer happiness.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Perform sophisticated maintenance tasks in accordance with customer requirements
- Perform and lead service projects and take ownership for customer co-ordination
- Provide resolution to sophisticated technical issues and resolve Customer disruptive events, where appropriate consulting with Emerson CSE (GSC and Product Engineering).
- Provide technical expertise for products and services to support customers and Emerson teams.
- Mentor Junior Engineers in the local team
- Proactively identify Service/Product opportunities and assist the sales process
- Proactively promote service, start up and commissioning services and support the sales team as required.
- Assist Sales Engineers in the demonstration of Emerson Process Management products to potential customers and to provide mentorship in product application and after sales service and proactively promote service
- Deliver System Installation, Upgrades, Commissioning & Documentation
- Customer training, when applicable, to perform preventive maintenance, on-call duties, and other assignments, according to system service agreements
- Meeting customer deadlines
- Provide, without delay, information for billing of performed jobs
- Comply with all Emerson requirements for business processes including timesheets, site visit reports and all other documentation in line with Emerson Process Management internal procedures.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (including control engineering, computer science, or electronics, etc.) or similar experience
- Sound knowledge of Emerson Process Management, Process Systems and Solutions products and services
- In-depth knowledge and experience of automation and control systems in process industries, typically with 6-8 years of experience
- Excellent in English, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in Danish is a major plus.
- Driver’s license
- Willingness to travel within Denmark and/or in the other Nordic countries, when needed.
