We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council`s Housing Needs Team as a Choice Based Lettings Team Leader.
Your role:
The successful candidate will work co-operatively and collaboratively within the Housing Needs Management Team, including participating in budget setting and monitoring, risk, and performance management.
The candidate will act as the Council’s expert on all matters relating to Allocations and Voids. To ensure that the teamwork within policies and procedural guidance, legislation, and elements of the strategic housing service plan relevant to the role whilst exercising judgement in assessing individual housing applications, particularly in relation to medical and welfare issues.
What you will need:
The candidate will have expert knowledge of Allocations and the ability to apply it to the individual cases along with comprehensive knowledge of Welfare Benefits, including universal credits and housing costs. The post holder will have experience of managing an allocations team, including managing multiple complex cases and being able to accurately prioritise situations and support officers to manage them efficiently.
