Vice President Pressure Relief Valve

As the Vice President of the Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) Business Unit in Stafford, TX you will be handling and leading the global PRV business portfolio by implementing commercial, technical, and portfolio strategies to drive profitable growth. You will lead a global organization, with both direct and dotted line direct reports, and be responsible for sales and profitability growth along with other key performance metrics.  

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Identify and develop product, marketing, and overall future leaders in accordance with the Emerson Organization Planning Review process by effectively communicating within Pressure Management and larger Emerson across all the global and world area functions.
  • Develop and implement Value Creation and Profit Review plans as part of Emerson’s management process.
  • Act as the site leader of the Stafford, TX location to cultivate and maintain a strong culture of collaboration, innovation, and inclusion.
  • Collect customer and global sales channel inputs on PRV products and portfolio and develop strategies to resolve any gaps and/or overlaps, as well as review, assess, and recommend any potential acquisition targets.
  • Collaborate with Global Operations and Supply Chain team to maintain market competitive lead times and service levels.
  • Plan and implement creative marketing programs to promote sales growth and profitability improvements by using market studies to monitor global markets, competitive position, and emerging industry trends.
  • Develop pricing strategies and guidelines for both existing and new products. 
  • Assess the global competition and develop winning strategies, tactics, and sales channel messaging. 
  • Apply Agile and the Emerson NPD Process to drive timely and efficient project execution across all the NPD Projects, while establishing a close connection with Engineering, Test & Development, Global Supply Chain, Global Operations, and the WA’s to ensure timely and successful NPD launch. 
  • Lead and guide the overall Pressure Management Business Unit global service/parts strategy and execution.

 For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8 - 10 years of engineering/NPD, product design/management, technical marketing/sales, service, or general management 
  • Experience with developing strategy, business development and market analysis
  • Basic financial skills (margin, P&L)
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering preferred (ME, EE, or ChE or equivalent field)
  • Advanced degree in Marketing or Business
  • Technical experience with Regulators, Valves, Pumps or related products
