Our Product Technology teams work hard to ensure the quality of our Next product is always of the highest standard. Working alongside the Designers, Buyers, Merchandisers and Fabric Technologists; this role is key to the whole product critical path from start to finish.
Your role
Developing the range; focusing on front end product development, blocks & fit, driving technical innovation and product improvements whilst promoting collaborative and close working relationships with the Product team. Approving and progressing the range; delivering good quality standards, providing clear and concise written and verbal communication internally and externally; whilst managing supply base to meet expectations. Responsibility for risk assessment, and requesting and analysing product test data, to ensure compliance with all performance, legal and safety standards. Managing in season; reviewing product quality throughout season, auditing and utilising information to further improve quality.Leading the team to meet objectives, while managing critical path, workload and priorities
About you
A team player and a leader; you will have great people skills to communicate effectively within a multi functional team. Using your extensive technical experience & exceptional eye for technical detail, you will be working independently on a wide range of kids products including nightwear, underwear, swimwear and accessories . Utilising your qualifications & experience within the industry you will be comfortable handling a diverse range of products and will be able to tap into your extensive contacts to obtain specialist knowledge where required. You’ll be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of pattern, construction, and manufacturing methods. You’ll show drive and initiative to generate and implement new ideas in your department.
