We are thrilled to offer an outstanding opportunity at Emerson for a talented Data Engineer! We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. This role involves both independent work and collaborative effort within a team setting, primarily focused on developing engineering tools, managing CAD and PLM tools, and Oracle maintenance. You will also play a vital role on Data mining, visualization, trend analysis and take decisions based on data history.


 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Oracle:

  • Process improvement for data management & processing, quality assurance, and Engineering Change process governance within our ERP system.
  • Tracking, coordinating, and implementing of engineering changes through Oracle such as creating BOM and part numbers.

PLM, CAD, and Other Tools:

  • Prioritization and follow up with external support groups for improvement and fix implementation. License management, coordination of software installation, configuration, upgrade, and user support.

Internal Tools:

  • Work closely with the engineering team to understand their needs for data gathering, storage, processing, and analysis; and deliver solutions that aid in decision-making processes, productivity improvements, knowledge management, and project tracking.
  • Utilize Power BI or other analytics tools to create dynamic dashboards and reports that provide insights into engineering KPIs, such as time to process engineering changes, resource allocation, and overall engineering productivity.
  • Manage approval process through the use of digital signature paperless tools (e.g. Adobe Sign).
  • Publish KPIs using virtual dash boards to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes.         

General:

  • Developing and maintaining and documenting internal processes per Emerson documentation standards. 
  • Driving successful implementation of new tools and processes by preparing user documentation, presentations, and training and supporting users.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent demonstrable experience managing similar responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Management and manufacturing processes.
  • Oracle ERP operational knowledge.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools for creating analytical reports and dashboards.
  • Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Software 
  • Fluent English spoken and written.
     

 
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Proficiency with Oracle
  • Operating Knowledge of Teamcenter PLM Software
  • A strong grasp of Power Platforms, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
